My new tumblr account is online

My tumblr account, Letters from the Lion's Head, is online. It will serve as a catch-all for reposts from MacGregor's Pen and other things that strike my fancy. I chose the extravagant name as a reference to the crest of the MacGregor Clan, shown below in a signet ring.

Such signets were used to seal important documents, such as official letters, to ensure that the recipient that the letter had not been tampered with before delivery. The inscription is " 'S Rioghal Mo Dhream," which means "Royal is my blood," indicating the noble bloodline of the clan.

I've appropriated the seal as the cover image for my tumblr account (and no, it has nothing to do with royal blood). Thanks for reading, and please subscribe to my tumblr.
